« Serious Game » Conference - Tuesday, 4th of May - Mons
On Tuesday, 04 May, in the Imagix Complex in Mons, the first great conference-debate will be taking place on digital leisure and training content in the Walloon Region. The Microsoft Innovation Centre and several other Walloon players have indeed joined forces to offer you a day entirely devoted to Serious Playing.
Serious Game is the use of video game techniques and technologies (Range Concept, Game Design and Game Play) for the purpose of designing applications that are not intended for games, but for acquiring information, learning, re-educating oneself or communicating.

Applied to the health sector, Serious Game can be used in many different fields. From motor rehabilitation, additional to kinesitherapy for example, simulation, an example of the application of fitting cardiac stems, is being demonstrated on the Microsoft Surface at the MIC; or psychomotor capacity development, for example, using children-oriented educational software.
During April, the MIC will be launching a call for projects using all of these video game techniques in order to apply them to the health field. Don’t hesitate to let us know your interest in such a project by sending us a little e-mail to info@mic-belgique.be
The first Walloon conference on this line of business will enable you to acquire a better understanding of the training, simulation and communication opportunities that these media are offering today.
